This site got a big update today. After a long time of wanting to do it, it's finally done - I added my own custom domain name to this website!! It was a lot of work.... I first thought it would be simple but it was actually really hard to do.

I also recently became a neocities supporter and I have all the perks that come with the status. Uhh yeah. I'm still working on my WADs and all that. Still working on WSVQ of course. Hope to have it out by the summer of this year. . . . That's not a promise though. So many different things going on right now. But I am happy I managed to get the domain name working. I came close to quitting multiple times. But here we are, with it up and running! I would like to thank Dannarchy for his help with putting it together. Go follow him, he has some great Doom and Quake content!

"winter-solstice.net" will be the permanent name from now on. I think that's all I wanted to say for now. Thanks.

Hey everyone. It's been a while since my last entry. I wanted to make this update just so I have one out there for the end of this year.

It's been a great year, looking back. I shared some good projects with you all and I really enjoyed making them. I am still working on my Quake map pack, just to let you guys know that the project is still being developed. In an ideal world, I would've had something ready to be released on Christmas eve but that's not what happened (at least for this year). I hope everyone had a good Christmas! Right now, I'm doing a redesign for my "Winter Solstice Network" page. I think that page deserves it. I orginally liked the barebones and simple design, but recently, I have grown to want to change the visual side of things for that page. So I'm busy doing that in the background. Doom projects are still on the backburner . . . . Kinda. I did some work on one of them yesterday, I'm calling this project "Twisted Truths"! It is a sequel to my WAD "Lost Stages" and I've been developing it for a few months now. I was kinda against the idea of letting everyone know about it, but I came to the conclusion of that if I didn't talk about it, and when it was finished, I released it to the masses, people wouldn't be that interested because it would be something that they haven't heard of before, if you get me. Above, on the top left corner, I have the TITLEPIC for "Twisted Truths". On the bottom right corner I have another TITLEPIC for a WAD I'm developing called "Behind The Walls Of Madness". There is no release date for these WADs . . . . Yet.

Winter Solstice

Hello once again everyone. I have multiple projects going on at the moment, like I mentioned in the previous entry. The project that has taken the most time is my Quake Map Pack. Below, I have included some images of some of the levels I've made. These images are subject to change as time goes on so when the pack is released things may be different as they appear in the here and now. I've pretty much had tunnel vision on this Quake project and had my other Doom projects on the backburner. I should probably go back to them at some stage when I have time. Okay, but back to the Quake Project - I'm calling this Map Pack "Winter Solstice VS Quake". As in to say, my mapping abilities vs this engine, showing off what I'm able to create with the engine and trenchbroom. In the past and even now, I've had some hesitance to show off my work as I'm in the process of making it. But if I want to get feedback it's best to show my work when it's in the stage of being a work-in-progress. So yeah. That's all for this entry. Below I have the images of some of the maps. Please note that there will be more maps than the ones pictured below. All it takes is time.

Winter Solstice

I have so much going on at the moment. A lot of creative projects, etc. I hope I can keep track of this blog and keep it together. I've been wanting to write a blog for a long time but never got around to it. Before I uploaded this blog to my site, I took a long break from updating my site. I spent the 3 months busy with other projects such as maps and writing this blog. The main reason why I wanted to start this blog finally is because I wanted there to be some kind of inside look into what I'm working on, even if those glimpses are few and far between, or the blog posts about a project are sort of hints or not that informative about the overall design of the levels, etc. Other than that, I'm happy that I uploaded this blog to my site. It'll be interesting to look back on previous blog posts as the years go on. With that said, I think that's it for this entry.
